I was able to finish last week quite strong. Unfortunately, one of the challenges I have faced repeatedly is my weight seems to yo-yo quite a bit whenever I start working out again. This stretch has been no exception to that. My weigh in on Friday came in at 224 lbs. so I’m back up a pound this week. Hopefully I can turn that around this week and get moving back in the right direction. Of course, I don’t think I have much more than 20 lbs to lose total so a slower rate of loss is to be expected.
Anyway, I finished the week with the morning workouts being the Max Trainer on Thursday and then the P90X Back & Biceps on Friday morning. This however was just the tip of the iceberg on Friday as I went to a men’s church retreat Friday afternoon. We played touch football for a good hour and then later in the evening we played another hour plus of dodge ball. I logged almost 14k steps on the FitBit Friday so that was pretty awesome. Saturday was not as crazy but we did have a couple rounds of paintball and a good bit of walking so it wasn’t bad either. My FITTEAM FIT was about the only thing that got me thru Friday and Saturday so I’m thankful for that.
Breakfast Thursday and Friday was my usual FITTEAM Lean protein shakes. Thursday’s lunch was a Sambazon and oatmeal square followed by Chili’s SW Eggrols with chips and queso for dinner. Lunch on Friday was a bit extreme as I had catfish at Babe’s (awesome local family style restaurant). Dinner at the camp was chicken fried stake not that I ate much since lunch was so heavy. Saturday was bacon and eggs for breakfast at the church camp followed by BBQ brisket for lunch. Dinner was a couple slices of pizza at a going away party for my brother-in-law and his family heading back to S Korea.
Unfortunately, it appears I managed to pickup a head cold over the weekend. Hopefully this will be short lived and not side track my workouts too much. I’ll try and get the next post up Wednesday or Thursday. Have a great end of February…
