Well, I think I’ve managed to have a pretty good first week back on the wagon. This morning I was 225.6 on the scale so that’s down about 4.5 lbs this week. I’m pretty dang happy with that for 5 days. The bad news is that is probably about what I gained on our cruise. Chocolate melting cake is just plain evil. Thank God we don’t have some place nearby to get it or I’d probably be sunk.
Anyway, Wednesday I got in about 2/3rds of the P90X Core Synergistics workout. This is pretty brutal in that it has loads of squats and lunges so it will really get your attention. It’s also nice in that the synergistic nature of it incorporates all of the major muscle groups so you get more than just “core” work. On the food side I was pretty good in that I did blueberry oatmeal for breakfast and then a Sambazon and Cascadian Farms Organic Chocolate Chip square for lunch. Dinner was a leftover fajita burrito, a little beans and rice along with some chips and salsa. Of course, I also did the FIT before both breakfast and lunch. Always doing the FIT…
Thursday was sore but I pushed thru and made myself get in another 2 mile run. It was a little colder and that meant I was feeling it more in the lungs but it wasn’t too bad. Breakfast consisted of a protein shake (look for the recipe for that in the new Diet & Exercise area), followed by the Sambazon and meal square again for lunch. Dinner was something new that the mother-in-law whipped up which was a sausage & red potato concoction that was surprisingly tasty.
That’s going to do it for this week. Probably post again Sunday night or Monday.
